Available Engines

The Ford Super Duty lineup is comprised of the 2025 Ford F-250 and the 2025 Ford F-350. Both trucks are available with the same four engine options. The base powerplant is a 6.8-liter V8 engine that produces 405 horsepower and 445 lb-ft of torque. Next up is a 7.3-liter V8 engine that generates 485 lb-ft of torque and 430 horsepower.

Two versions of a turbodiesel engine are also available. In low-output form, the turbocharged 6.7-liter V8 diesel engine delivers 475 horsepower and 1,050 lb-ft of torque. The high-output iteration of the diesel powerplant cranks out a mind-boggling 1,200 lb-ft of torque and 500 horsepower.

Towing and Payload Ratings

With such powerful engines in their lineup, it's not surprising that the Ford Super Duty models can tow and haul copious amounts of weight. With the right equipment, the Ford F-250 can tow up to 22,000 or 23,000 lbs depending on whether it has a gas or diesel engine. The Ford F-250 can haul as much as 4,246 lbs with ease.

Not surprisingly, the Ford F-350 can tow and haul even more. For conventional towing, this Ford Super Duty model has a max conventional tow rating of 28,000 lbs, a number that skyrockets to 38,000 lbs for gooseneck towing. This new Ford truck also has a best-in-class payload rating of 8,000 lbs.
