Like our other new Ford trucks, the 2024 Ford F-250 offers several engine choices, each more capable than the last. The base unit is a 405-horsepower 6.8.-liter V8 engine making 445 lb-ft of torque routed through a TorqShift® ten-speed automatic transmission. The next engine increases displacement to 7.3 liters while boosting output to 430 horsepower and 485 lb-ft of torque.
The most capable of the three is a 6.7-liter High Output Power Stroke® V8 Turbo-Diesel engine laying down a robust 500 horsepower and a best-in-class 1,200 lb-ft of torque. The minimum towing capacity is 18,200 lb, but this powerhouse can handle 22,900 lb when properly equipped. This year adds a newly optional Onboard Scales with Smart Hitch feature; ask your Ford dealer for details.
Technology & Security
As befits a work truck, there are several productivity features you'll find helpful. The upper trim levels have a customizable 12-inch digital instrument cluster that ensures you can find vital information at a glance. The available HUD (Head-Up Display) puts essential information directly in your line of sight to limit distracted driving.
